Meet our friendly, experienced pediatricians and staff at Peachwood Pediatrics! Our entire team is dedicated to helping you and your child feel at home from the moment your walk through the door. We're proud to be members of the Clovis community and serve the needs of their children.

We pride ourselves in being an exceptional office where children come first. Our child-focused practice works hard to meet the needs of children from infancy through adolescence. Compassionate, knowledgeable and supportive staff is the cornerstone of Peachwood Pediatrics's quality care. All of our pediatricians and medical staff are highly trained professionals, and maintain the highest level of accreditation in pediatrics to address the special needs of infants, children, and teens.

Amy Evans, MD

Dr. Evans received a Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY Binghamton. She attended medical school at University of Rochester, NY.  She then remained in NY and did an internship and residency in Pediatrics at Strong Memorial Hospital, affiliated with the University of Rochester.  In addition, she completed a fellowship in Pathology while at Rochester. She was also awarded the Bradford Fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Disease. She is board certified in Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is fellowship trained in Breastfeeding Medicine and is the medical director of both the Mother’s Resource Center and Center for Breastfeeding Medicine at Fresno Community Regional Medical Center. She is an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at University of San Francisco-Fresno. She is married to Dr. Tim Evans, who is a pulmonary and critical care medicine physician. They have two children. In her free time Dr. Evans enjoys gardening, cooking, knitting, hiking, camping, caring for her pets, traveling, skiing and church related activities.

 

Leta Hering, RN, CPNP

Leta received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Fresno State College. She is a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner trained at Valley Medical Center, Fresno in association with the medical residency program and California State University, Fresno. She is a certified lactation counselor, and holds school nurse credential. In 2006, in her spare time, Leta ventured into the skin care business. She started About Face and Skin, doing photo rejuvenation facials to reduce acne scarring, fine wrinkles, dark spots and permanent hair reduction with an Energist Variable Pulse Light. She is a USTA tennis player, an avid gardener and international traveler. Leta is married with two grown sons. 

 

Dianne Hubbard, MD

Dr. Hubbard received a Bachelor of Science degree from Marquette University. She attended medical school at Medical School of Wisconsin. She then did her residency training in Pediatrics at Phoenix Hospital Affiliated Pediatric Residency Program in Arizona. She also served as Chief Resident in her final year of training. She is board certified in Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is married to Dr. Jeffrey Hubbard, a practicing internist. They have two adult children. She spends her free time enjoying her three dogs, doing crafts and visiting her children in the Pacific Northwest. She is an avid San Francisco Giants and 49ers fan.

 

Marty Martin, MD

Dr. Martin received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA. He attended medical school at Loma Linda University. He then did an internship in Pediatrics at UCLA Harbor and also completed his Pediatrics residency there. He is board certified in Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  Dr. Martin is also actively involved with global health outreach, spending 3-4 weeks each year in Cambodia and the Dominican Republic providing healthcare to the local children. Dr. Martin is married with two grown sons. He enjoys gardening and photography.

 

Brad Sumrell, MD

Dr. Sumrell received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Nevada, Reno. He attended medical school at University of the Caribbean. He then completed an internship at Veterans Administration Hospital He completed residency training in Pediatrics at Valley Medical Center, Fresno. Dr. Sumrell is board certified in Pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is married with five children. In his spare time he enjoys golfing, travel and the occasional yard work.

 

Will van Beever, DO

Dr. van Beever received a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University, UT. He attended medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, MO. He then did an internship at Children’s Hospital Central California, and did his Pediatrics residency at University of San Francisco-Fresno. He served as Chief resident during his final year of training.  He is board certified in Pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Following residency, Dr. van Beever spent three years practicing at a federally qualified health center in Fresno. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. He is married with five young children. His children are very active in sports, dance, gymnastics, cubscouts, and church. In his free time, Dr. van Beever enjoys gardening, especially caring for his "Backyard Orchard" of peaches, plums, apricots, pomegranates and citrus.

 

 

STAFF

Sarah DuPuis, RN

Sarah received her nursing degree from The University of the State of New York-Regents College. She has over twenty years of nursing experience working in a children's emergency department, NICU, pediatric oral surgery, and community emergency department amongst other specialites. She enjoyed substitute teaching for a Medical Assistant prgoram at a vocational college and started their LVN and EMT programs. Sarah is a proud firefighter's wife and mother of two young daughters. She enjoys spending time with them and their two Australian Shepherds.

 

Laura Lee Brown, RN
Laura Lee graduated from Parkview-Methodist School of Nursing in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Her RN experience includes the NICU, newborn nursery and surgical floors, ambulatory care family practice and OB/GYN. She has been with Peachwood Pediatrics for over twenty years. One of her special interests is helping mothers become successful at breastfeeding. She was certified as a lactation counselor through UC San Diego. She loves being a nurse, a pastor's wife, spending time with her family and grandchildren, music, gardening, riding her bicycle, and as much time at the beach as possible.

 
 
Wanda Savage, RN
Wanda graduated from California Sate University Fresno with a BSN and received her RN and public health nurse license. She has ten years of hospital experience in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in both the Bay and Valley areas. Wanda has been with Peachwood for over ten years. She has enjoyed working part time while she and her husband are raising 3 children. 
 

Tamie Hensley, MA (Office Lead)

Tamie received her MA certification through Hoover High School in Fresno. She attended Fresno City College and obtained her EMT certification. Tamie has been with Peachwood Medical Group for almost twenty years. She has worked as the office lead for the last ten years. Tamie is a widow with two grown sons. She actively participates in a local church congregation and serves in a leadership position overseeing single members. In her spare time she enjoys scrapbooking, cruising, and spending time with family and friends.
